Must Have Apps for Bloggers.

Many of you who want to get started blogging have asked me about how I stay organized between my Instagram and my website. So this post is dedicated to all the must have apps for bloggers that I use on a daily basis.

Shoebox

This app saves it ALL

I've had this app for about four years now and it is absolutely one of my favorite apps. This app is free and all you have to do is create an account (so you can always login on any phone) and it will start saving all your pictures and videos from any device you log into! I have lost WAY too many pictures between losing phones and forgetting to back them up until I got this app. I am always stress free about my picture storage, and when I want to look back on pictures I can search through months, years, locations, devices, etc. Definitely a necessity to keeping your photos organized.

VSCO

Filter Heaven.

I used to use VSCO all the time and actually post pictures on it and follow people. These days I really just use it for editing. This app just has the best filters. Hands Down. HIGHLY considering subscribing to get more amazing filters, what do you guys think?

Spark Post

No one even uses snap stories anymore

Ever since this new snapchat update, I haven't been posting stories or even watching them. Instagram stories are getting more and more popular so this app is a must. Easier than it looks, you can make animated banners and stories that look professional and very beautiful.

Planoly

My secret secretary.

Not only does this app give you a preview of your feed, but you can plan your captions and schedule your posts. Yes. It will do it all for you. With a simple click you can make your content calendar right on your feed. My Instagram would be a mess without you. <3333

Lifesum

My Food Diary

So this app isn't really just for bloggers, but I feel like having your life together helps keep your blog together. This app has a free download, but I have a subscription because it's so worth it. On Lifesum, you can pick your own diet and by inputing a little bit of information you get a customized plan for your daily calorie, carb, protein, and fat intake, step count, water intake, and fruit intake. Keeping your goal weight in mind, Lifesum is always giving you reminders to drink water or eat fruit and really motivates you to keep track of your health. Highly recommend.

Amazon

Did you say one click purchase?

Amazon has it all, and amazon prime has it all... in two days. Ever since I moved out for school, I have been obsessed with amazon, and now that I've started using the app it's never been easier. Just log into your account after downloading and happy shopping!

Weekend Skin Prep:

My face routine with a few extra steps.

After a long week of school, tests, and working out I like to take my time to get my skin feeling bright and hydrated for the weekend. When my skin isn’t feeling it’s best I do a few extra steps to get my face feeling bright smooth and hydrated. After working out I feel really dehydrated so I like to always start with a lip moisturizer. One of my new favorites is the Rodan and Fields lip serum. This serum keeps my lips feeling plump and very moisturized. After washing, rolling, and toning my face (you can find my morning routine on my instagram highlights) I applied South Mane eye brightening masks I got from my favorite subscription box (Boxycharm) to reduce the the puffiness and discoloration of my under eyes, while hydrating and brightening them. After leaving this on for 29 minutes, I applied a quick bioré one minute self heating charcoal mask. This mask is so easy and really gets warm as you apply but when you rinse your face feels soft and tingly, love this stuff. After that I apply my usual serums (right now I’m using Valjean Labs clarify and glow serums) and always a little sunblock before going anywhere. I’ll link all those products down below! Love ya -Xoxo Nikki

Currently Crushing on:

F e b r u a r y:

Hey guys!

Right on time for the end of February, this month I was definitely crushing on this amazing tea. If you know me, you know I LOVE coffee, so tea is usually not my thing. BUT, after trying tea drops I have become a total tea drinker. My concern with tea usually is that it doesn't give me the energy I need for an early morning or a long day, but after trying tea drops I felt so energized I didn't even feel the need to have coffee.

Tea drops is unique from other tea's I've tried, it has no bag! The packaging is so cute, the one I tried was in the shape of a flower. It was so easy all you have to do is throw your tea in hot water then stir. Don't worry about having to add extra calories or sugars because this tea has the perfect amount of sweetness to it. Yup, its that easy.

Thank you for keeping up with may, stay tuned for what I might be crushing on next month.

xoxo, Nikki

College Living: Part 1 - Living Room Tour

L I V I N G R O O M

Hi again!

I am FINALLY starting my college apartment tour series and I'm so excited. I know college apartments can be tricky to decorate without spending a ton on something temporary. My roommates and I didn't really coordinate our decorations, and we have slowly been adding more and more to our communal areas: the living room, bar, and kitchen. Luckily for us we chose a space that is very bright with mostly white walls, and with the incorporation of a light teal accent wall it gives our living room a defined space. Below I'll explain each piece with details and links for you, stay tuned for more college living posts!

Couch:

So this couch came with our apartment, we weren't so sure about it at first but after a while we realized it's SO comfy. I'm not exactly sure where its from, but here are a few similar options I found.

Pillows & Blankets:

Most of these are from TJ Maxx or Marshalls which are my absolute favorite home stores for a college budget. Every time I go to home goods or Marshalls there is ALWAYS something new and so affordable. Its a little more work having to look through a bunch of random items, but in my opinion it's soooo worth it. Here a some similar pillows and blankets I love.

Coffee Table & Table under TV?(what do I even call that?):

For our living room furniture, we kept it very simple. On the coffee table theres a modern (fake) plant I got from Target with some marble coasters from Home Goods. This coffee table is pretty small so keeping it simple is the best way to avoid a cluttered space. Under the TV we actually placed a desk that came with our apartment and decorated with a vase and fresh flowers, magazines, a speaker, and some more coasters.

Wall Decor:

This was our most recent addition to our living room, and we plan on adding more as we go. Most of the decorations we have were a little bit of a DIY project, but nothing that took too long. The LOVE above the TV is from Nordstrom, but it was originally a rusty red color. All we did was spray it with gold spray paint, wait for it to dry, and hang them up. Behind our couch, we printed out a few pictures and hung them with clips and decorated with 3D flower decals.
